What's A Hand-Held Flame Thrower?
A hand-held flame thrower is, basically, a lightweight compact tool that will send a stream of fire up to 25-feet away. It's self-contained with fuel held in a small reservoir to feed the flame and some kind of ignition system to light the fuel. The Pulsefire Long Range Hand-Held Torch has an arc ignition system that doesn't need any type of open flame but a push of a button activates it, producing a spark between two electrodes placed in front of the nozzle. The button also activates the high-pressure fuel pump that draws fuel from a 1/4-gallon non-pressurized reservoir and sends it through the nozzle. There’s a voltage gauge on the side of the Pulsefire that will let you know the current battery level with three green LED lights and, full-charged, the rechargeable battery should power the system for at least 15 full tanks of fuel.
What Is It Used For?
Seriously, there’s nothing cooler than having a fully, handheld flamethrower that shoots a blast of flame up to 25-feet away! However, there are many practical uses for it, which makes it much more than a cool toy to play with.
Combat Weeds
Instead of exposing yourself, your family and your pets to weed killing poisons, take care of them quickly and efficiently. Flame weeding is an organic method that has been approved by expert gardeners. It's especially effective for getting rid of weeds that are embedded in the cracks of walkways and driveways.
Land Management
Controlled burns are important because they can eliminate fuel sources for a wildfire, get rid of insect pests and diseases, recycle nutrients in the soil and promote new growth. A hand-held torch makes it easy to set your fires in the specific areas you need them in to direct the way the land is burned. It's especially useful for clearing out fields that have been overused for crops and need a fresh start.
De-Ice Driveway
No one likes shoveling snow and clearing ice from their driveway and sidewalk in the winter. It takes forever and is backbreaking work that is an absolute necessity. It won't take long at all with a handheld flamethrower in your hands.
One More Thing
To finish your task without having to refuel, you can get Pulsefire's Backpack Kit to go with its Handheld Torch. It consists of a three gallon tank that will hold gasoline and a gasoline-diesel mixture and a hose with everything needed to attach it to the flamethrower. The back pack has a slim design, weighing-in at 26 lbs when full, and the nylon webbing shoulder straps are padded for comfort.
