The Windlass Steelcrafts Viking Thane Axe is a hand axe that features many traits common to the Norse hatchets customers have come to love through the years. The solid, one-piece forged head is strong, X46Cr13 high-grade stainless steel with a 52 RC. The comfortably contoured handle is Sissoo, a North Indian hardwood, and it’s capped with a handsome genuine bone end cap. Even better, are the Norse engravings unique to this axe that are deeply etched on both sides of the handle. On the bone end cap is a depiction of Thor’s mighty hammer, Mjolnir. A leather belt sheath is included, and axe comes in a faux fur-lined box.
