Timber Wolf really sharpens their blades before we get them from BudK. It was pretty sharp and I used it to cut boxes at work and I also used it to fillet fish and it stayed sharp, I just had to touch up the edge a bit. I probably shouldn't have used it for filleting fish because it a really good looking, handy, well made, and Heavy Duty Knife. It is decently heavy especially when the blade springs out.
