This is exactly what it says, a mystery box. I have purchased three of these so far, and I was only truly disappointed with one, and that is because I received two doubles of the same blades. I guess that if they don't have enough returns, you take a chance on getting some overstock. The first box had a Honshu Toothpick, so that was worth more than the price right there. The third was by far the best. I received a Karnak Damascus dagger with a slightly deformed tip (love this dagger!), a Masaii Warrior machete (great for the heavy foliage here in FL) and some sort of bayonet/survival knife. All in all, I have been satisfied with everything. I even gave the double blades to my adult sons and they love them!
not much apparent flaws with the blades, other than one is AUS-6, but it still looks fun
I am overwhelmed with joy. Wasn't expecting a lot but was pleasently surprised with a $70 knife, the other 2 were ok but that one made it worth every penny spent. I may go for another set in the near future
Getting a mystery pack is always fun. The knives and the excitement of waiting for them to come were worth the money I paid.
Got a Tiger Shark Dive Knife, United Cutlery Special Agent Stinger Knife, and a Ridge Runner skinning knife with wolf face etching (same as listed in another review).
Got a tiger shark dive knife from ridge runner that will never get any use. I also got a united cutlery special agent stinger knife. It is one with a shoulder harness. If it came with a boot clip sheath, it would be a good boot knife. Last, the most decent of all, a ridge runner knife. It is kind of like a skinning knife and it comes with a nylon sheath. I don't know the specific model but imagine a generic skinning knife with half a wolf face etched on one side of the blade. The dive knife alone is technically worth 20 dollars when budk still sold it so I can't complain. After all, this is a gamble and you are not always going to get top knives for 20 bucks.
I was a little skeptical. Generally I don't trust reviews. Well only one knife showed any kind of wear which was barely noticeable and it was on a sweet Damascus fixed blade with a leather sheath. There was a 14 inch long Bowie with no sheath but it is beautiful and a hibdon on top of that. The third knife was a bad ass V42 stiletto dagger with no sheath but it had an Uncle Sam's Misguided Children (I am retired ARMY
So don't make frowny faces) Fixed blade with a nylon sheath. It was just missing the fire starter or stone. So 4 knives total. I am going to buy one of each mystery bag now. Way worth it. I had some change burning a hole in my pocket and I cant stop buying weapons so 13 bucks I mean come on. So effing stoked.
I have bought this 2x now, and have yet to be disappointed. I have gotten several knives, including Hibben and Honshu, that were just missing the sheath.
This is why i love this sight. Good quality blades on the cheap. I got a throw away skinner hidden in the box with a stiletto and two Damascus blades one with a decent leather-ish sheath. Will buy agian.
Well i figured id check it out and definitely wasnt dissapointed. Great deal. Definitely will buy again!!
I received "let loose the dogs" knife, coon skinner, and a mystery knife. The mystery knife has an orange rubberized handle, 10.5 inch sawback blade, and is 16.5 inches overall. My general description of the "mystery" knife does not do it justice. This is a mean looking knife and is my favorite of the 3. The "dog" knife and mystery knife had no discernible scratches or dint's. The coon skinner is not in perfect condition, but it is sturdy and defiantly usable. I am pleased with this purchase and I think it was a good deal.
I got a great scratch and dent this time around I recieved a Timber Wolf Fixed Blade Hunting Cleaver Knife Micarta & Damascus (real heavy and beautiful blade) I got a Timber Wolf Eagle Ridge Knife (no sheath but really sturdy and sharp knife) and last I got a United Cutlery Honshu Black Aizu Ring Fighter (real cool looking blade just on the sheath the snap button doesn't fasten) over 90 dollar value for 13
I gambled and I won on this one. First time I purchased this and got $145 worth of knives! I couldn't find any real issues with any of the knives.
The 3 knives that I got were all samples so nothing at all wrong with them. They came with no boxes and had no branding or markings on them (that's how I know they were samples). From what I could tell they were the Black Legion karambit in a tiger stripe and another BL karambit in blue with an upgraded nylon sheath and a Timber Wolf boot knife with the rainbow blade. Over all I am happy each knife was around $13 value so well worth it. I would have given it five stars but only gave it 4 just because I got two of the same knife.
How can there be no reviews on this, I took a gamble and it was well worth the 13 bucks! I got a Honshu Karambit with shoulder strap in near perfect condition, a 12 piece throwing knife set with a torn pouch from Ridge Runner and a Boar Hunter bowie knife with a small crack in the wood handle. For a 3 knife mystery I ended up with 14 knives for 13 bucks great deal!
In this pack I got one huge folding knife even though this is a fixed blade scratch and dent but it was alright I also received a buffalo bone handle knife that I have no complaints about and I also had gotten a honshu karambit with no sheath and a few marks on it but not that noticeable but it was sharp and not in terrible condition overall this was a decent buy in my opinion
I am very much annoyed at True Swords and hate to give a five star but I have to be honest. I added this item to make the minimum purchase to use a coupon. The primary item was not in stock and True Swords shipped this item without notifying me they had modified the order and charged the shipping for the entire order. The first item is a plastic cosplay knife with a nylon sheath, too large a grip to fit my normal size hands and will most likely be tossed into the trash. The second and third items have defects or damage that is obvious but both are fixable and the best way I can put it is "Oh my gosh, I would have paid this price for either". One is a United Cutlery Honshu that has nicks in the blade than can easily be taken out with a whetstone. The other is a Gil Hibben complete with serial number but missing the sheath and with blemishes that can be buffed out with my dremel.
