Bought these knives to hand out to co workers that needed a knife but didn't want to carry a bulky pocket knife, are perfect size and sharp

Purchased these for teaching knife safety skills to 5-12 year old Girl Scouts. Taught 60 girls over 5 classes this past weekend on our campout. They thought it was awesome to use a real knife once they learned knife safety. Ordering more because everyone, adults too, wanted one to keep.

I purchased a jar of knives, I am having fun with my friends with the knives. They like the blade and want to have one for the key chains. They are telling their friends.

These are great little knives, low-cost, lightweight, compact, and sharp. I got them to give away with a business card attached, keep a few. Very satisfied with the quality for the price.

I give these away as a campaign item. I slip a little note inside asking for a vote. I have gotten nothing but smiles and positive feedback. I a careful though to make sure that I give them to adults only, as the blades are very sharp out of the box. I have purchased multiple times and have never received a broken knife in any shipment.

Knives were purchased for the military overseas they will be great for them. Just the right size and great shipping. Would purchase more if they ask for them

Nice knives that are sharp out of the jar. The serrated blade is a plus. I use them without worry of losing them.

i give these out to costumers after i do my job of sharpening my knives as a little gift just so they recommend me to their friends and cause it brings them back knowing their getting a "6 dollar" for free they can see the prices cause its on my counter.

This is the second "jar" of Ridge Runner key-chain knives I have purchased. The style has changed since I purchased the first jar several years ago. I finally lost my last one and bought another jar. These are lighter and easier to open and close than the older style. All 36 knives were in good condition and razor sharp. They are small knives and only have one beveled edge, half of which is serrated. I use them frequently for shrink wrap cutting and cutting plastic open to get to my purchases. I also use them for light weight applications like wire stripping and cutting cardboard. My grandson whittles with his and has had no problems. They are very popular with my family members. They make a great little emergency knife that you can carry on your keys. I once fixed some bad car wiring while on the road with one of these. The serrated edge on half of the blade can saw through lightweight materials. For the money, I highly recommend these little knives. They look like toys and will probably break or bend if used under hard work conditions, but hold an edge well and work well for the light duty applications they were designed for. We find new uses for these little knives around the house and keep one in each vehicle for emergencies. I like to cut up apples to eat them with one of mine. They are cheap knives, but will do many jobs.

These little knives are great! I give them as tokens of appreciation to friends, students, and others. At about $.47 each, the price cannot be beaten. I buy two jars at a time. Everyone comments on how sharp they are. A great gift!
Feb 07, 2013

All came non broken and Razor sharp. and i mean SHARP. for the price these things are a sitting gold mine. Must have!
Nov 22, 2012

Was reluctant to buy 36 knives for such a deal price. Ordered one anyway. Boy! was I surprised. These little 'keychain' knives are great to add to a keychain or even carry in the pocket. Been passing them out to friends, who love them. I liked giving them away so much that I ordered another 36. All 72 were in great shape. Not a dud in the bunch.
Feb 09, 2011

THESE ARE AMAZING FOR PRICE. I SOLD THEM FOR $3 A PIECE AND MADE OVER 50 BUCKS AND FAST! BUY THEM NOW!!!!
Jan 29, 2011

Great knives, all of the knives in my jar work fine. For the cost, it's a great deal! I've already given a few away to friends.
Dec 21, 2010

After reading some of the other reviews on the jar I was fully expecting 2-5 to be broken or unusable. Needless to say I was extremely surprised that all 36 knives were in perfect condition when I received them with the exception of 1 missing the chain. Other than that all the knives are in great working order and a decent edge on the blades for the price. This is definitely a must buy for all customers to give as gifts if nothing else.

Love this knife jar... Granted all the knives aren't up to snuff but when you find the good ones you'll love them... Always great to give out to your buddies or use as a gift... Its funny how these little knives put a smile on peoples faces... The only product from budk I would honestly consistently buy...

I am re-ordering this little jar of knives, simply because they make great little gifts. Everybody likes a free gift, right? Keep them on hand for the neighborhood kid who helps you in with the groceries, or the friend who drops by unexpectedly....whatever. If you're looking for strength and durability, go to the higher dollar knives.
Nov 20, 2015

36 knives for 20 bucks is hard to beat. They are sharp and are able to be put on key ring. The jar is no more than 5 to 6 inches tall. 5.99 is not a realistic price for each knife. .99 to 1.99 is more realistic.
Jan 15, 2015

I completely understand prices rising, but these knives have doubled in price. Granted the new design has a better blade, but the handle lacks the quality of the first edtion. However, they are still inexpensive giveaways. If I see someone who needs a pocket knife, I give them mine and pull another from the jar when I get home.
Sep 19, 2014

the label showing retail price of $5.99 is was to high -quality is ok-they are very sharp-shipping time was satisfactory-(retail price should be $4.99-$3.99)-I would recommend this to a friend
Feb 26, 2014

These Knives are small and simply made. This is in line with the price, however and the size makes them ideal for carrying in your pocket. They are not very sturdy, but the blade is solid and holds and edge well. I am very pleased with the quantity and quality that I received for the price.
Dec 27, 2013

A decent little knife at a great price. Cheap enough to give away as incentives, or to just sell for a buck apiece.
Dec 22, 2013

These are great for door prizes or employee awards. The 1-3/4" blade is great for office work.
Oct 30, 2013

These are very sharp, very small, and I like to use them for gifts. I think they could be a little bigger with a non serrated blade.
May 20, 2012

These things are TINY! :) Great for adding to your Altoids tins as a backup knife or use as a "disposable folder." I've been passing them out like candy to non-knife-nut friends and they love them. The locking mechanism is pretty solid. There's a little bit of blade play, but nothing substantial since these shouldn't be put to hard use anyway. I'll definitely be purchasing more in the future! Just a note, out of the 36 that I'd received, 2 of them were completely broken, 2 had cracks in them, and 1 was hard to open. The rest were in perfect working order.

"I've been buying these since they were $9.99 per jar. I give them out to customers with my business card attached. they always remember the knife man""."""
Jul 11, 2009

I've ordered a few containers of these and they weren't bad, great gifts. I use to toss them in packages.
Nov 16, 2014

I just thought that the jar was bigger, They are very sharp, but a little bit small. maybe I can get my money back at a flea market, Other then that they are well worth there money.
Aug 01, 2012

Pay close attention to the measurements in the description, The description is accurate. Smaller than I was expecting but it was my mistake for just mainly going by picture and title.
Jul 15, 2010

These little knives aren't the greatest. Like others have mentioned my container came with 7 of the 36 broken. The blade is only ground on one side. Great little give away knives (like cheap lollipops from the bank). If you have intentions on selling them you might be able to get a buck per knife.
Jul 01, 2010

Well 7 of 36 were broken, so really is 29 knives for $15. Still a good deal though, hopefully I loose the others before they break. Looking for ideas though, what use can you put 7 little blades to? The only thing I can think of the the trap Arnold made in Predator.
Jun 06, 2010

great for handing out but 4 of the 36 knives where broken. before even opening the container you could see broken pieces.
Jun 04, 2010

just remember you get what you pay for 10 knives out of 36 was broken and to get them replaced takes a while so if you don't care how long your money is tied up you may make money in the long run...
Nov 18, 2008

the knives are good the ones that work are anyway two thirds worked good the other third would not stay locked could be a odd batch i only ordered one so i can not say but on the plus side the ones that work make great key chain toppers and at the price it is worth it
