Polish MP5 Gas Mask With Filter

The thing has been around before 01 according to the expiration date on the filter. So I can't really complain to much, just know it really is a gamble. Mine has white scuff marks all over it and the lenses are poo poo as well. I'd like to be able to see if I need to use this. But there ya go besides being over 20 years old and expired cans you know what you're getting.

The mask came with the film over the lens, just like everyone else's mine looks crazy has light white stains on certain parts of the mask. Still has a good seal and serves its purpose. I haven't check out the filter yet. But according to the previous comments they sound expired. Which wouldn't surprise me military hand-me downs. Atleast make them look nice before we get them in our hands.

I bought this for my 13 year old son and he loves it. The lens were yellow but it wipes right off. The size was 2 but the picture showed a size 4. But its a good product.

Placed two separate orders, 1st one was perfect and complete as described and will protect against CBRN - 2nd had dry rot and had to be returned and exchanged. Return/exchange process was (5 star) easy and simple and the exchange product was perfect and complete and will protect against CBRN. Mask lenses on all were covered in a protective “grease” and hazy. Cleans off easily with isopropyl alcohol. Recommend using a light silicone lubricant for mask to keep outer mask and chin cup from dry rotting in the future. CFF3 filters are good for particulates but are expired and not TIC/TIM or CWA. Recommend getting a new 40mm STANAG - CAP 1 filter.

It arrived less than a week after ordering with standard shipping, and arrived just as promised in superb condition. There were no signs of wear on the mask itself, and the filter it came with still new and sealed. The carrying case had minor signs of wear, namely a "401" in sharpie on the top and "1418 on the back, as well as some almost cosmetic blemishes on the hooks (pictured) for the molle straps, I assume the case is surplus and the rest NOS. Even with my very large head and face, I'm still able to get a proper fit and seal due to the straps being adjustable.

I ordered 3. These are in excellent condition, heavy duty very nice bags. No complaints except they didn't come with the water tubes, but for the price, most definitely can't go wrong. Lens were yellow but wipe right off.

I ordered 3 of these and plan on ordering another 3 likely. Great product and came as described on the website. As others said, lenses were yellowed, but it came off easy with some alcohol wipes and they are very clear after the cleaning. Two of the filters were unsealed, but new and one pack was missing the drinking tube, no big deal for surplus in my opinion. All in all, a great purchase. Masks seal nicely on my face, even with my thicker facial hair/beard. Thumbs up all the way!

Bought 4. Yes the lense will be yellowed. Wash with soap and water. Specifically - Scrub the lense with a paper towel and dawn or Palmolive. Wash 2 times. And buff with a microfiber towel. Boom you have a perfect real gas mask. 40mm threads are good for any 40mm filter. Great work BUDK! Thank you!

I bought 2 of these for my wife and myself. They are awesome but like some other people said it does come with a yellow tinge on the clear plastic. It comes with brand new vacuum sealed filters. The bag that it comes in is very well built with some extra storage pockets.My wife’s is in great condition. I washed them both with warm water and soap and the rubber right where my chin sits all crumbled and fell apart on mine so the seal is now gone. I guess they are meant for more of a novelty and if that’s the case and it will be a wall hanger then it’s worth it

First I want to list the positives, of which there are many. It has a panoramic lens, which allows for superior vision over most gas masks, and takes 40MM NATO filters. It's made of a thick rubber that forms a great seal, and the rubber strap system is amazing. I've had no problems with it. It comes with a drinking tube. The bag that it comes inside is very high quality, made of a thick vinyl material that won't tear unless you really work it over on purpose. The bag has a few pouches around it that can hold various things, and on the inside sits the mask itself. The negatives, however... It arrived with a thin coat of yellow fog on the lens. This is normal for some older gas masks, and can easily be solved with bleach wipes, so that's more of a nitpick. A true negative, however, is a VERY problematic one that will ruin the integrity of the mask. Within the first week of wearing, the rubber broke near my neck right under my jaw and with it, came the seal. I can feel air seeping through this hole, and it makes it very uncomfortable wear having the hard jagged edges where the rubber broke. And yes, Isaac, it IS an MP5. Poland purchased a license from France to reproduce the ARFA basically to a T for their citizens since they lacked a more modern design and were stuck with Asbestos filled Soviet masks from the Cold War and previous. Overall, it's a good quality mask, and I will admit that I was just unfortunate with mine. I bought mine purely for the novelty and to proudly display a solid mask as the first in my collection. Trust the other reviews and their experiences, but be mindful of how you treat your Polish MP-5, and remember to always wash your masks in the sink with warm, soapy water before wearing. And wash your hands while you're at it!

IT IS A FRENCH ARF-A!!! However this is an awesome mask and I really enjoyed mine but I ended up losing it unfortunately.

I purchased (4), all but (1) were in great condition. One is completely roached - the chin part was completely dry rotten/cracked/broken into pieces & the lens was also no good. However the other (3) after cleaning the lenses are practically brand new. None of them came with the drinking tube or mouth pieces but for the price this is a definitely an excellent purchase. I have (2) Israeli masks with the drinking equipment (expensive) but these Polish MP5 masks are way more comfortable & again worth it! I used Slip2000 to condition the plastic (not the lens) & are practically brand new. Comes in a great carrying bag with lots of pockets & the filter is brand new sealed never opened. For those looking this is a must purchase. Better to have them & not need them than need them & not have them.

These are amazing for the price. One has a black scuff mark that wiped right off. Extremely clean, in like new.condition. Plastic is supple and very comfortable. Bag that comes with it is fantasric! Very big, lots of pockets, very useful. Highly recommend.

Everything about the item is like new but NO water piece missing but very good condition super air tight I we're in public alot and get looks, but better be safe then not. Willing to order another one but hopefully it comes with water piece.

Deffintly never been used. The lense was a horrible yellow and dusty color. But never fear . all you need is a real lense cleaning solution and cloth and it will clean and buff out. Seals good. Not a fan of the adjuster for the straps. But I would definitely definitely buy another one or recommend it to a friend

Works great against tear gas, yes, gas me Teddy! Also, you can talk through this one better than a lot of the others.

0rdered two returned one because of yellow lens and ripped chin cup. Got back nearly unissued bigger sized one that fits me better, totally functional.

Ordered 2 of these Polish MP5 masks, but find out they're really French ANF-AV(?) or something gas masks. Don't care, as about the only difference is in the voice communicator design that the Polish copied with permission. One mask/bag/filter came in perfect, wrapped in sealed bag and as new, second mask arrived, no sealed plastic, mask bag looked like it was thrown down driveway, mask was torn and shredded to bits, w/filter dented and in the open(not in sealed bag). Called BudK and very nice lady on other end helped me with getting a RMA to return for exchange. Returned on a Wednesday and the following Tuesday I receive a box. 6-days. Can't be, my exchanged mask arrived already? Opened box and see another new-looking mask(soft rubber), filter and mask bag, which I know aren't really new, but they sure look like it.. Great Customer Service BudK.

I bought 2 of these masks. One looked like it was slightly used and the other one was never used with sealed packaging. The lenses were scratch free! Gonna buy 2 more.

I had purchased the french version of this mask from another surplus retailer and it literally disintegrated afew days after I received it. I was looking to replace that specific mask because the look fit what I was going for. This site was the only site that had it in stock. I ordered it hoping for the best and when it came it, it was more than I expected. This mask is basically new, with a crystal clear lens. I was very surprised to find the external water bottle connection assembly in a side pocket and the internal drinking straw too. The other mask didn't come with the external drinking assembly. The rubber/plastic is much more supple than the other mask and the bag is in better shape. The bag and mask appear to have never been issued out. The mask makes a good gas seal around my face, even with facial hair. The best part is that this mask was cheaper with shipping that the other mask was without shipping. I will be purchasing more items if this is typical of of the quality of items stocked.

Covers nose, eyes, mouth keeps you safer than any cloth or paper mask that only covers your mouth and nose and only protects others from you sneezing or coughing from covid19. Works tested it from gas and room scents.

My only complaint is that you cant pick your size. That said, the mask I received fits fine and would function if needed, just a little tight on my nose. As I've read, the lens was very yellowed, but wiped crystal clear with just a damp paper towel and a little dish soap. Everything is solid, no missing or broken parts, and the bag alone is such good quality I would think it could be sold on its own at this price

Received the french version of the MP5 gas mask. Still satisfied however, as its in excellent condition. Only issue is the lens has slightly yellowed.

I bought five of these for myself and some coworkers. Note that these are French ARFA masks, not Polish MP5s. They are known to have materials issues, but all of mine were still soft and flexible and in really decent condition. I'm generally quite happy with what we got for the money, but they came in a variety of conditions. Three of the five have clear visors, two have modernized quick adjust head straps (better than what's pictured!), two were missing the drinking tips, none had the drinking tube kit, and two had unsealed filters. We got one size 1, two size 2, and two size 3. The sizes are very forgiving, so I could use either a 1 or 2 comfortably and the 3 isn't ridiculously small on my large head. I honestly think I might buy several more just to steal parts and filters off of. I want more of those modernized head straps! So buy more than you think you need and salvage some parts and filters.

I collect gas masks and with the current situation, most sellers have resorted to serious inflation BUT NOT CHKADELS. Great Price. Shipping was not too slow, arrived within 1 week and three days of ordering and I’m not the most patient but surprisingly quick. I got a size 2 and it fits perfect, i expected to get a 3 or 4 with seeing other reviews. I was also quite shocked at the great condition of the mask, just a wee dirty but a quick clean restored it to almost factory standards. Definitely would buy again because of how affordable it was to me. Again thanks ChKadels!

This protective mask is not only authentic, it's still serviceable. Clear lens. All diaphragms are pliable. Same for cheekpiece. Drinking straw was missing but one can be fashioned easily enough. Filters are standard thread NATO and shouldn't be hard to find. Only service required of one I received was a thorough bath followed by ammonia lens cleaning. Mfg date showed 20Mar96. Carrier was well used but also serviceable. Alice clips intact. Decon kit pouches intact. Velcro intact and serviceable. I am satisfied with the quality and price.

I bought this from Bud K and the mask wasn't in good shape. The bag is fantastic and I'm using it for another gas mask I purchased on line. The bag has large pockets that will hold extra filters.

#1 Pristine - size 2, clear lens, inner drink tube mouth piece. #2 Serviceable - size 3, yellowing lens (but not bad), no inner drink tube mouth piece. Both filters are from 2002. Would buy again for the price.

Purchased 4 for the family. 3/4 grey lenses. Last one is clear. All filter from mid 90s

I was honestly surprised how nice this mask is. I'm a big dude and I honestly thought this mask was going to be too small and its not. Oh and if you have glasses you're not screwed.

Bought three of these masks. Received sizes 3,3,4 they seemed small but useable for an average adult male,. Average wife perfect fit, child on the big side but seals. Bags still in great shape and filter cannisters were still sesled. Probably expired for military use but good enough for civilians and will filter air as intended. Cleaned up mask with soap and water and polished visor with eye glass lense cleaner and everything cleaned up nicely. For this price these masks are a great deal for military grade equipment and will only increase in value as supplies become tighter for surplus over time.

I was pleasantly surprised With this. Great condition. I used dawn dish soap and cleaned it off as you should anyway . Fast shipping considering the pandenic going on. Would recommend. I bought two.

Great product, cheapest around, good quality, my only complaint is its a tad hard to adjust but one its adjusted it fits great very comfortable , the filter that comes with it is completely sealed and unopen

product I got was late 90's vintage however in good condition... mask size is the small size 4.. was hoping for a 3 or 2.

Some reviews had me worried that I would get a hardened and cracked piece of rubber with a yellowd visor. Instead got a perfectly fine mask with a slightly scratched and dirty visor, cleaned well. came with what looked like a factory sealed canister as well. No complaints.

I am a paramedic and my department could not get any mask of any kind other than N-95 and surgical, according to them. I found these. I bought 4. Shipping was relatively fast. The mask looked brand new. The cartridges were sealed with caps and then sealed in plastic. It looks like factory sealing to me. To say the least, I am very pleased with mine. The only con I can give this mask is the speaking diaphragm, 2 of them sound good. 1 is alright and the other is fair. I am a big guy with a big head. 6'2" 330lb hat size 7-3/4. Like I said a big guy. These are snug on me, but they work. They fit my wife perfect. They are big on my 10 year old son. For any female or average to slightly above average sized male, these will fit. I would recomend these to anyone. Oh, by the way, if you are buying these and are expecting it to be like an Avon or Honeywell gas mask, your not the brightest crayon in the box.

I read the comments before I purchased some and I thought I had a 50/50 chance of getting something that I would be satisfied with! When they arrived I was very happy because they both looked like they had just been manufactured and shipped as well as the filter canister was original and sealed!

The one I got looked brand spanking new like it just came out of the factory!

Ordered 3 of them and all were size 4. I have a big head but size 4 still seemed to fit although I would of liked a bigger one. There is no drinking tube either. For $29 seems to be worth it.

I was concerned that the example would show up with rigid and uncomfortable rubber, but I was happily proved wrong! Came out of the bag with soft rubber for a good seal and clear visor. As mentioned in a previous review, this is a French ARF-A, not a Polish MP-5, but it looks nearly identical and works just the same. Mask has 05 MAS 97 under the chin and 01 REV 98 on the side. Filter is listed as ABEKP NBC LOT: FZ 02/99. Even came with a special BUDK catalog for this mask and arrived 3 days early! Definitely a good deal worth the money.

I bought this so I can use it when I have to use my spray paint When I do my project or go somewhere where the air is bad for my system. The mask works great and you can use any gas mask filter that has 40mm thread that you can also buy from amazon.

Was a little worried about the possible cracks in facemask from other reviews but mine arrived as new. I believe mine were never even touched. Ordered 2 and I got sent a large and a small and it's perfect for me and wife. Filter was in new condition and mask cleared fine. You can buy more 40mm nato thread filters online. Price on this mask was too good to pass up! Very happy!

It fits well and the filter is early 2000s gonna use it at work cuz my boss said I could butt I don't think he knew who he was talking to

The mask is gonna serve it’s purpose, but I got a size 3 which is too small for my face, a size 2 would’ve been perfect, I wish there were a way to choose the size

Ordered 2 and we're all as described Like New. Compared to the ones I have been issued in the US Army these are equal in ability. Test fit and cleared perfectly.

Unavailable except for BudK when I ordered 2 gas masks. Received a size #2 and size #4 (small). Both appear unused and in excellent condition with the mask rubber soft and non hardened. Size #2 perfect fit for me. Concerned with Size #4 fitting other smaller person and after adjustments it fit fine. Both masks sealed to our faces perfect and comfortable. Each mask came with a sealed unused filter and green carry bag. Lens cleaned up fine on both masks.

Ok so I ordered this cause of the corona virus and was nervous about some of the reviews but I love it. Yea the visor is a little yellowed but other than that it’s perfect condition.

If you apply goo gone to lens as directed it look brand new after you complete the process which take about 10 minutes ! ...

Mask is I good condition,but I received the smallest mask made(#4)...I just wish there was a way to choose size...I would order another,but I don't wanna keep getting the wrong size

Just got my mp5 in the male and I was surprised it was in almost new condition lenses were a little foggy but nothing a little cleaning wouldn't cure being in the army for 20 year I've had to maintain a lot of gas masks. so when I open the box and saw this one it was like being issued a new mask it fit perfect all latches work and the case it came in was ten times nicer than any thing I was ever issued so I'm happy happy happy over this pitches aspecialy for the price

I ordered 2 of these and they came in pretty good condition. The filters packaging was slightly damaged but the filters were still sealed. Lenses were fogged up but are cleanable. They even had issue markings leftover on both the masks and carriers from when it was in service. Overall great mask for display or prepping.

I was worried about the condition the mask would arrive in due to some of the reviews, but it was in perfect condition with the filter still sealed and a waterproof bag. The lens was a little cloudy but it cleaned right up. The mask and filter both seem to be from the mid 90s. Lastly they are French ARFA masks not polish MP5s, the polish masks are authorized reproductions of these. Overall a great deal!

The mask is well made and everything on it work! That in itself is a wonder. It takes a standard NATO 40 mm filter and when I tried it with an old, open filter (I collect gas masks) it worked perfectly. I had to fiddle with the straps a bit to get that perfect fit, but it is a great buy!

They do a pretty good job of getting you the size you want I ordered 2 orders 1 of 2 mask 1 of 3 mask one straw for each order and no canteens come with these masks I've yet to track any down on the internet I haven't tried a u.s. canteen yet overall a hell of a product for the price

The mask came in fantastic condition, not a scratch anywhere on the carrier, filter, or the mask itself. The rubber straps on the mask are a little difficult to adjust, but once they've been set you should never need to adjust them again. Cleaning the mask is pretty simple with the exception of the panoramic visor, which is not a solid piece of plastic, but some kind of silicone or something similar. The visor gets "smeared" very easily, giving the impression that it is covered in some kind of oil. After cleaning the visor specifically with hot water and vinegar and allowing it to air dry, it seemed to fix this somewhat, though the edges of the visor still appeared slightly smeared. Overall, great quality for the price offered, and the carrier is one of the highest quality ones I've seen. You'd be a fool not to add this to your collection.

Ordered the polish gas mask. Quick shipping. Received one with some crucial cracks around the chin. But it’s surplus right? So I called , the sent me a printable shipping label. Shipped it back. Asked for one with no cracks. Quick turnaround time for a replacement. Arrived in great shape, gave it a bath, looks great fits my sons face real good, he likes it. Cleaned up nicely. Customer service was great in all communications...liking BUD K much more now. Signed satisfied customer.

When this came in I found out this is the French ARFA (the mask Poland legally copied) except that, the mask, filter, and bag came in good condition.

I got one of these masks. When it arrived I knew immediately it was used. The bag is perfect and worth the $30 it's self, but the mask was really dirty, the lens was dark yellow and the metal canister that you attach to the mask had literal dirt on it. The whole thing was also covered in dust. I thought that was cool because it was an antique. But after cleaning it some more I think I'll use it.

Overall, a great looking mask. Definitely ran a little small. Shield was clear. Drinking tube attached and worked.

Quick processing. Ended up with a size 3 that with some adjusting fits well. Lense was fairly yellowed but cleaned up super easily with some meguiers plastic restoration. Filter is in an unopened package as described, not sure on the date, think is 02, but not a concern. Drinking straw was there so maybe i got lucky? Would buy again...novelty or not, with a new filter or old its better than a bandana if things get wild. (It wont let me upload two pics i dont think so this is after cleaning it up)

Package arrived right on time. The mask itself looks in good condition but is very tight. I have the straps at the most Loosest but still feels small. The carry bag I had to clean because it has some kind of white power on it. Made me feel a little uneasy. If I can get another head strap better suited for my size I’d be very satisfied.

The mask came almost new, like advertised, however it had some white colored spots on the outside of the mask, which I kind of expected. However, what wasn't expected was the amount of film on the lens. Thankfully with a bit of rigorous cleaning, the visibility is much better and no longer immensely fogged up. It's good that this mask takes 40mm threaded filters, since I already had a filter opened up from an M65 mask I ordered from this site a long time ago (which is sadly no longer available; the one I own now has a crack in one of its lenses). A good mask, although a little difficult to adjust due to how the adjustments in the straps are handled.

I’ve bought 5 of these gas masks and two of them were sent completely ineffective. Literally one came Completely broken in half. Quality control should never let defective and especially torn gas masks through for delivery. That’s complete incompetence. What am I suppose to do with this gas mask? Die when I need it most? It’s shameful. The others that came were in great condition. But how hard is it to check quality of product before shipping? Especially when dealing with used military equipment. Incompetence at its finest ladies and gentlemen.

One of the 2 masks I ordered completely split apart when I was washing it upon arrival, rendering it useless. The 2nd one is a little stained but other than that works fine.

Overall good condition-even got good seal with my goatee. But lens was fogged & yellow to near opacity. Hoping one of those kits that restore fogged headlight lenses will help.

I got 2 for covid! Bag is in great shape! Filter in seal package! Mask len is yellow! Took 50/50 water and vinegar clean up in minutes. Not super clear but for 29.99 I’ll take it. BAD PART IS YOU DONT GET TO CHOSE YOUR SIZE! I got the smallest size for both, size 4. I had to put the at the very last setting to make it work for me. I would not buy if u have a big head! There are size charts online, expect to get the smallest size and see if you could live with that. I wish I got a size 3.

The gas mask bag was covered in mold, but with some Lysol it was fixed. The mask itself has a slightly foggy lense that some scrubbing should fix, the filter has expired 20 years ago. But overall the gas mask itself is great, fits perfectly and feels fine.

As others have stated, there is a film on the lens which is difficult to completely clean/remove. Not bad for the price though. Storage bag in good shape. Date on the filter is 1999.

The mask is like new with no signs of wear. The only issue with the mask is that its a bit too small and digs in to my chin. Id say its a medium size mask. I'm 5'11 and wear a 7-1/4" hat for reference. The filter was sealed. The bag looked like it had been through every European war since 1900 with holes in 5 out of 8 corners, unusable unless you don't care about rain and dirt getting in! Im sure this mask comes in different sizes and it would have been nice to know a size in the description budk!

Overall this is a nice gas mask. It has a nice, wide field of view and a 6 point harness system with plenty of adjustment possible. However, the plastic is aging. My mask was cracked at the top and the bottom after removal from the packaging. These cracks were around the inner seal where the mask touches your chin and forehead. Eventually, large chunks of the mask broke off.

Lens is completely yellowed over but it can be cleaned with window wipes (see pictures). The rubber/plastic of the mask is aged, hard, and cracked through from nose to chin.
