Disappointing

At first glance, it was awesome, lots of weight, but not too heavy, and just felt great in my hands. If your buying for display I'd say a five star, but when you use it like in the video, it's terrible. Three swings in hitting two litter bottle and it's crooked. Huge disappointment.

Not too shabby

Looks good and the spikes would pierce a skull with ease. Did an excellent job on a couple of canalopes. Yes the head and shaft were hollow. Shaft is steel. Don't use it on wood. Spikes seem to be pot metal with chrome. Very sharp though. Have issues with 3 of them not screwing in. Too much flash in the threads. As imsaid mine WAS hollow. Filled it with kitty litter. Added about 3.5 pounds to it. Wish there were a way to get replacement spikes. Would be worth it.

Not too shabby

No devastating blows will be dealt with this poor excuse of a weapon, the rod is super thin metal and already rusted on the inside when I got it. How do I know what the inside looks like you might ask... Well that would be because the head fell off hitting a cardboard box. Coltan must work for the website to have left a review like that lol. Good ONLY FOR DISPLAY and should not be advertised as usable in any way.

DONT WATCH THE VIDEO

DONT BUY IT! Save your money, just get a baseball bat. The head on it does not stay on it just flies off everytime you swing it. The handle is hollow and this is very light.

Good enough for the price

True, breaking through a door would destroy this thing and there are fit and finish issues. However, this thing would be very devastating to a human body, and it is lightweight enough to be used by a teenage girl. For the price, you can't beat the intimidation factor and true danger of this self defense weapon. When my daughter goes to college, she will have one in her room. BTW, if it is by your bed at night, don't accidently hit it with your foot.

Good enough for the price

Extremely poor quality. The head came off on the first swing, and the handle crumpled like it was made of tin foil. EXTREMELY CHEAP MATERIALS STAY AWAY!!!

Medieval spike mace club 35"

I think someone should have taken the time to assemble the product before selling it. Thier were many of the spikes that were crooked and did not fit in the holes flush. So SORRY but I will NOT recommend this product to any of my friends.

Best for display

Although this mace is priced well it's quality lacks very much. First of all the wrecking ball is one solid piece it's two put together. Next I took a couple swings and the paint was chipping off the ball. The spikes would not go in so i had to tighten them in.The screws stripped having to put them in i would only recamand this for display the ball it's self is glued to the pole.

Best for display

Looks cool but cheaply made

Like other reviewers have stated this is not stainless but chrome plated. The spikes that came with my mace are very sharp but almost half of the screws to attach the to the head were bent or had crushed threads. I had to use a pair of pliers just to get the majority of them to screw in. I wrapped the spikes with a towel to try and minimize damage but some were so bent i ended up scratching the spikes anyway. The handle is made out of the same metal they use on curtain rods and is hollow so I imagine it wouldn't hold up well under actual use. It's a nice display piece but I have got much better item from Bud K for less than $40.

If only it worked

Awesome looking but the one I got is defective. 4 of the holes are too big for the threads and that just makes it look retarded.

Don't Bring a Mace to a Gunfight

Bought this for home defense, and it is pretty intimidating. The handle is long enough (about 28-30"), and the spikes are sharp enough, to keep an intruder at bay and to do some damage, but it isn't really heavy enough to deliver truly crushing blows (however, if you hit an intruder in the head, it would probably be lethal). Just remember, this is a close-quarters battle weapon, and if the opponent has a gun, you're in trouble. I'm going to velcro some pepper spray to the handle so I can soften him up a little at a distance, first. The head and handle are hollow and the quality of the spikes' bolts, which screw into tapped holes in the round head, are rather poor - they're not straight, and the bases of the spikes don't sit flush on the head. So, the assembled product looks good from a distance, but up close, not so much. Since I wasn't concerned about authenticity, it's OK. I'm thinking of filling the mace head with sand to increase its mass (the handle will probably also fill; I'm not too sure about the method of attachment). I've still got to figure out where to keep it handy - you DO NOT want to kick step on or fall onto this - it will mess you up. One of these days, I'll test it on a big beef roast. I think I'll name it, "Adolph, the Tenderizer"!

Spiked Mace

As a weapon collector it is an awesome addition to my collection. As a collector I never really use my swords and knifes other than a few pocket knives here and there or if I have a left over pumpkin or of course if I were for some reason in a life or death situation. I feel if it ever came down to it and I had to grab this for protection it would do enough damage to stop the attacker or at least postpone the attacker until I could get to my pistol and/or phone. extremely satisfied with this weapon being added to my collection.

Ornamental Morning Star

This is a wonderful ornamental morning star that is a show stopper and great conversational piece. I dare not destruction test it as it's spikes and head are non magnetic (and seem to be aluminium). But as a wall hanger, this is a crazy scary thing. The shaft is magnetic and most likely steel tube. Wall hanger or not, this is a murderous weapon in itself, it will maul flesh and bone like a huge bear paw. But against hard targets, I can only guess that it will come off badly.

Cheap Quality

This mace is very cheap. After only hitting two water bottles with it, the spikes were bent and some were broken. It is not stainless steel, as advertised. It is actually made of aluminum, and therefore breaks and bends very easily. The chrome finish peels off extremely easily and the handle wrapping is cheap and will most likely peel off. I will not be keeping this mace. Hopefully I'll be able to return it and spend the $40 on something worthwhile. Unless you want this mace simply for display, do not waste a single dollar on it. I do not recommend it at all.

it looks heavier than it is, the spikes are held in with glue, the handle wears down very easily, and dont hit anything with too much force because the glue will come undone and break off the screw in fasteners, not battle ready but if you're buying it for looks I would suggest it
