M48 Sabotage Tanto Fighter Knife

My first M48. I like it.

Neither Beastie Boys nor Schwarzenegger movie does this knife justice pick one up you’ll never be sorry that you’re did built like a World War II Nazi tiger tank yet is as refined, complex & well thought out as a Rembrandt self Portrait yep that’s it, that’s the one it’s Sabotage baby!

So I just received one of these as a gift right off the bat I noticed this was a beefy blade just buy the weight an it was longer then expected as well the case is great very durable an blade fits tight now this blade is amazing just a work of art an the engraving is very clear an visible the blade is roughly 1/2 inch thick with a razor's edge Very pleased with the product will be ordering more products

It arrived nice and sharp and I put it to the test the same day. Chopped through pallet wood easily as it did 2 inch branches. The blade nearest the handle was sharp enough to shave wood to make a fire. It sliced cardboard and old paneling easy enough that there was no struggle to get the blade down and through. The handle held up to pounding in a few makeshift tent stakes, and then was battoned to make kindling out of 4 inch branches. It held up for every test and still only needed touching up to sharpen it. A good working blade. It will go camping with me on my next outing. I might write again to let you know if I use it to clean game or do food prep. Seems like a most excellent addition to my outdoor adventures kit, might even replace my hatchet.

This knife is awesome! Its a half inch thick and with a little love it will take a razor edge. Buy this knife!

I received my blade today. Beautiful! The comment about the blade or "belly" not being sharp enough is true. BUT, anyone who really knows about a Tanto knife knows the belly is never razor sharp. A Tanto knife is made for piercing, not slicing. I couldn't be more pleased. Any knife collector needs this in their collection. I'm thinking about getting another one. Also, I am very pleased with True Swords. I had no problems at all. It was delivered a day early. I will be purchasing 'knives' from this company again..

This is a beefy blade. M48 is doing it right. I picked mine up from academy for about $30. I think they were having a sale. I have been drooling for this for a bit and it did not disappoint. Sliced paper sharp.

Got this knife weeks ago. Got a 1" belt sander from H.F. Used 320 grit, then 600, then a leather strop belt. Now "razor" sharp edge. Did this to all my knives in my collection some from BudK and others. If you have a knife, keep it razor sharp. Only takes a few minutes using this technique.

Bought this for my husband as an anniversary gift, first thing he did was crack a coconut open in 2 hits, another beautiful addition to his m48 collection

Great knife to add to any collection or for practical use. Heavy thick blade, sharp edge, well balanced, good solid construction. Sheath is hard plastic material but adequate for carry.

I can not remember the last time i spent 50.00 bucks and got a great product like the M48 SABOTAGE TANTO FIGHTER - it is a piece of art !! - well made - heavy duty - and just plain great to handle !! 5 star all the way !!! It would be a great deal at 2x the cost !!! Well done guys!!

I give this a 5 stars because no matter what I do to this knife it will never chip, roll, or bend on me. I can cut through coconuts with ease. This knife is sooooo thick! It is well over 1/4 of an inch thick. This is RIDICULOUS. It is good in the way that it won't break do to the thickness, but it makes it just a little too heavy for it to be a real fighter knife. I realize that this is more of a hacker but, this came almost completely dull. This is fine for me because sharpening is easy for me and I have the tools. But for some buying the knife your out of luck if you like to keep sharp knives like me. Overall a great knife. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This has to be the thickest knife I ever bought. There's no way that someone could look at this thing and not be intimidated by it. I myself was a little surprised by the size of it. The blade wasn't razor sharp straight out of the box, but I took care of that easily. I know that something like this can do some serious damage, so I'll have to be as careful as possible. Well worth the money. This gets a 5/5!

This is one nasty piece of steel right here. The blade is really thick (about 5/16" from the back) and has a nice weight that adds to the performance. It is also comfortable to handle and the sheath was also made well. Mine came sharp enough to cut, but could do with a little extra sharpening. However this knife is worth the money. 5/5

I ordered an amphibious tank for my grandson back in February 2015.It arrived in about 3 days. When we opened it we were pleasantly surprised .Not only did it work as advertise but evev did better.Very well constructed and durable.At the end of April one of the funtions stopped working correctly.Budk told me to mail it back and they would replace it.I did and I recieved the new one in 3 buisiness days.Not only was the product great but customer service was even better.Thank you from a happy customer. Without a doubt the best knife I have ever own.

This knife, just wow lol. The thickness of the blade blew me away. The blade is just sik (BADA$$), heavier than most knives for sure. It has an edge on it but will need to be fine tuned if you like your blades razor sharp, like me :). The sheath ALSO looks bada**, awesome designs... inside the sheath, there are like plastic guides for the blade at the bottom for the tip an on the edge side of the sheath. I noticed because the first couple times I removed the knife there were some small black plastic shavings on the blade(from the plastic or rubber guides inside the sheath). It just made me be a little more careful using the sheath. It is somewhat difficult to remove the knife from the sheath also, this makes me wonder about the belt-loop being secure/strong enough WHILE wearing,, might wanna hold the sheath with 1 hand an remove the knife with another if your wearing it on a belt.

I debated over this knife, as I do not buy wall hangers. I received it today and I am VERY impressed by it. 5/16 of an inch thick, nicely sharp (though I made it razor in just a min of work), and a decent enough sheath. I have read other reviews indicating that this would not be a good fighting knife, and while I do admit it is pretty heavy and not as lively as other knives that I have, I could see this being employed very effectively in a fighting situation. As a camp knife, I would have to say that I would be surprised if it didn't prove itself without question. I intend on taking it to the high hills and putting it through its paces.. And I'll probably get another as a back up, just in case.

Possibly the Badness A$$ Knife ever created. if they make it bigger and with better metal(lighter) this spanks every knife obsolete. It is truly a Stealth Fighter.

Cuts through meat like a hot knife through Butter! Great for self defense, When you pull this baby out.. They all run for the Hills!

I always trusted the m48 series to deliver on being able to take a beating. This knife is by far the best thing they've created yet.

It is a nice blade, but to bad it comes with a terrible sheath. The blade has a decent edge but will definitely be dull in no time cause of the sheath. Keeps cutting into it every time that you pull the blade out.

A good working knife it is 3/8's thick not 1/2 as some have said. It comes with a nice edge but will need a little work if you want to shave with it, the weight is nice, very comfortable in the hand. It strikes me as a under rated knife, at least for what it is capable of, a commando knife it just isn't. The sheath though is sad, it does the job but I don't think it will for long. If the sheath were half as good as the knife I would have given 5 stars.

1. Very impressive 2. Heavy in a good way. You can feel the balance and the stability in hand. 3. Sharp but not razor sharp(normally, I would return an item that does live up to the advertising; since I talked another friend into buying one and that Budk provide items as advertised, I bite the bullet and sharpening the blades on a Smith's Sharpener and used 3-in-one silicone oil to improve removing and re-sheathing knives.

Overall, i have to say this is a great knife. I tried chopping one tree branch maybe a half inch thick and the tang broke. Dissatisfied because this is really a good, unique knife.
