I live in Arkansas where we are free. When I carry a fixed blade I find them too long to sit in the car with. This guy is a perfect size. Hefty, classy and a real substantial sheath. A winner. Well worth the money. You wont be ashamed of the steel either.

Great little blade

Tough little guy at a kick-ass price. And the blade is Small enough that it’s legal to carry.

Great knife for the price

Bought this knife last year in hopes to get a good field dressing tool. This knife has gone above and beyond my expectations. Another great piece by Gil Hibben.

Really Nice Knife

Nice heavy knife. Arrived extremely sharp! The only bad thing about this knife is the polished brass on one side was all scuffed up. Since I am going to use this an EDC, it's not bad enough for me to send it back.

Everyday carry at the farm.

This replaced an assisted opening frame lock, with a pocket clip, as my everyday carry knife at the farm. It's surprisingly heavy with a short, stout blade and a sheath that doesn't require a tucked-in shirt. I would feel self-conscious carrying it to town, but that could change, if it became a more common practice, like large folders, in a belt pouch, for example. If fixed-blade sheath knives caught on, for social carry, we could discover what many have known all along - it's the best way to carry a knife, and it would keep designers busy for a long time.

great knife

This knife immediately caught my attention, but the pictures do not do it justice! What a beautiful knife! Love the size, weight, looks, everything! It is SHARP and comes with a nice, well made, leather sheath. Of all the knives in all the catalogs and online shopping, for the price, I don't believe I could have chosen one more perfect. Wow!

My EDCs for many years have been fixed blades. This Hibben "SIDEWINDER" immediately caught my eye, the price point, free shipping, and quick delivery from Kennesaw Cutlery was outstanding. The SIDEWINDER is a well made, sturdy, heavy duty knife, that rides high on the hip in a quality leather sheath. This tool is easily concealed by an untucked T shirt or vest. Thanks Kennesaw for another outstanding product.

Just received my second one

I liked this knife so much that I ordered another that just arrived. I have a bad habit of giving my grandson many of my collection. So, He will probably get one. Didn't want to be without it, so I ordered another. This is a beautiful knife. Good leather sheath with the handle fitting low in the leather. Great design. A bit on the heavy side on the handle; but that's ok for me. Not exactly a bush-crafter knife. Just a really nice carry blade for whatever reason.

Has become one of three go to every day knives. It's a very pleasant knife to use and work with. Holds a good edge. Now as edge's go it comes with the typical manufacturers edge but is easily fixed. I would buy 30 more.
