Dark, brooding - even downright frightening - the Delta Defender "Hellscape" takes savage style to a level rarely seen in functional fixed blade knives. But make no mistake - menace and ferocity run far deeper than the surface of this capable black ops blade. Three distinct blade edges yield incredible cutting versatility and a vicious, utterly mean look sure to deter any would-be threat. Rather than a mere fine edge and sawback like most tactical bowies, the Hellscape's rugged stonewashed 3Cr13 stainless steel blade boasts two separate, unique rows of bitter serrations, in addition to the razor sharp fine edge. The shallower, more delicate serrations are ideal for cleaving rope and other fibrous materials, while the deeper, toothier set along the blade spine are especially well-suited to branches, small trees, firewood and the like. Acutely angled to an ominous stinging point, the blade's distinctive profile affords penetration power that's second-to-none. But what's power without usability? Thankfully, the Hellscape has both in spades, with a surprisingly lightweight yet well-balanced feel that reduces fatigue and boost comfort. Like a well-seasoned gun stock, the Hellscape's tough pakkawood handle feels superb, with its delightfully tactile diamond texture and control-improving finger choils. Three handle cutouts and four lanyard holes provide near-endless lashing and tethering options. From battlefield to back country, desert to jungle; in clear-skies to raging tempests and everything in between - nothing slays cutting tasks and puts the fear of "hell" into rogue entities better than the Delta Defender "Hellscape" Tactical Fixed Blade Knife.

For an $18, + $5 for engraving, knife this was more than I expected, the description didn't mention it but you could probably use the handle as a woodrasp which is to say that once you start swinging it, it's not going to move around in your hand. The blade was sharp out of the box, the serrations not so much but once I sharpen them I'm sure they be fine, though I had to order one of those knife sharpeners for serrated blades. I don't know about the custom engraving I paid for, the letters I chose don't look engraved, more like a water transferred decal, but I could be wrong. Just saying: " I don't know if it was worth the extra $5". I'd buy it again.

Delta Defender Hellscape Tactical Fixed Blade Knife

this knife is great for dressing dear or boar. has a sleek fillet blade and the serrated edges prove useful against bone. any other use would not be advisable. still by far as good knife.

For Show

I doubt anyone would want to use this in a real situation like needing to cut branches or for hunting. It doesn't really fit too well in your hand, the handle had a loose rivet. However, I do enjoy it, I am a sucker for big knives and this is like a blade out of fallout 4.

Love ordering from Budk. Every knife I have ordered, I have been VERY pleased with. This one.... not so much. Mostly a display piece and poorly constructed handle. Very Uncomfortable. I do however like the Stonewashed look and profile of the blade. But do not bother trying to pick this up and use it for anything.
