More like a light weight sword

I have a large collection of blade weapons and of all my "machetes" I like this one the best. What I like about it is that it's more like a light weight sword than a machete. It comes to a very, very sharp tip that if it made contact with something, it would slice it wide open. The blade thickness is only about 2 to 2.5 mm but even with that thickness, the blade has a very strong spine. The machete, without the sheath, only weighs 16.5 ounces which makes it easy to carry and swing and even with its light weight, the stiff spine makes it a very durable blade. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because of the sheath. It is made of a very nice, durable, well made leather. The only problem with the sheath is it does not have any way to secure the blade in it. There is no strap to hold the blade in the sheath. If the sheath is turned upside down, the machete just falls out. I had a strap put on mine to secure the blade and that solved the problem. Why they didn't do that at the factory is a puzzle to me. Otherwise I love this blade.
