The spear carried by members of the Samburu tribe from Kenya's northern frontier is considered by many weapons experts to be the most advanced spear of its type on the planet. The Samburu spear can be thrown further with more accuracy and penetrating power than any other spear! Weighing 2 pounds and measuring 7 feet overall, this spear features a short, thin spear blade attached to a long, slender steel shaft which combine to minimize the force of friction and permit this spear to take the fullest advantage of its overall weight and velocity when thrown. This outstanding item duplicates the Samburu design to provide you with a spear unmatched by any other. The spear is constructed from 5150 steel, with a 7" x 2" spearhead welded to a 23" shaft with a black hardwood. This spear is transported in three pieces and some construction will be required. This is an item you will not regret purchasing! Cold Steel, 95S.

When I was thinking about buying this I looked at the picture and thought the shaft seemed a bit thin and might be flimsy don't be fooled its very sturdy. In case you didn't already know the middle piece is wood. The quality of it is great as to be expected from cold steel. Now the assembly is quite simple as said in the description. Know that you will need a drill and some wood glue. This thing is very sharp even the back end. If your wondering if you should get this just do. You won't be disappointed. Oh and one more thing this spear is huge I'd even say be careful not to scratch your ceilings if you bring it inside.
Best of the best!! Another winner for budk and cold steel. I will be buying more soon. Definitely not a toy, you have been warned.
Looking to master one more primitive weapon, I purchased the Samburu for target work, and possible hunting. This is no toy. If the original Masai spear is half as good, it's a wonder that lions haven't gone extinct!
