"Out of the box, the step has a strong oily smell. I had to leave it outside for two weeks for the smell to get weaker. The step does work as described when I'm wearing shoes. It's hard to balance on the step when I'm wearing larger Winter boots. Great idea, but should probably be a little bigger in size to handle large Winter boots."
