Bought this knife to replace a similar bone-handled stiletto I gave to a friend as a gift. Great addition to the collection with a comfortable and pleasing wooden handle. The wood gives an office-compatible charm to it, plus blade length is perfectly legal in the City I am in. Has all the Boker qualities I like (sharp blade, clean steel and craftsmanship). Only thing is that it takes a bit to get used to thumbing the mechanism since it barely peaks out enough to get a good thumb-hold, but after a while you get the hang of it. Love this blade.
Just what I was looking for, a must have for your collection, and for the price, opens fast, I love the wood grain, easy to use, I'm happy to add this to my collection. However they come in pretty stiff, please note when you first get these, there very stiff, and won't open all the way, so clean it, oil it, and work them out, will loosen up afterwards, no problem, thanks budk.
Beautiful modern era stiletto style knife, blade and bolsters r shinny the way i like. But; con1: Handle is a little too heavy for balance and pocket weight, con2: my knife handle sides came lose, after a few openings.Tried tighten sz.1 torx, fine- thread screws, they striped out of tiny support posts. My knife is Useless' Budk please replace or send new posts(2) and screws (6). expected better from Boker Mag. good looker, nice material, utility Zip
Great knife. Very quick opening even without an assisted opening mechanism. Nice heft to the knife. Clip makes knife easy to withdraw from your pocket. Wood grain is very nice.
i got the knife for looks after getting it and looking at it for the price i figured it was a fair price for the product i have'nt worked with it a lot but the blade is 440 stainless so with a good sharping stone you can sharpen it.
As the other review states, this is NOT a switchblade, it's an assisted opening knife with the stylings of a switchblade. I knew that going in so I wasn't disappointed. I have a couple real switchblades in my collection & this opens just as fast, it's definitely heavier than my switchblades but that's OK, especially if you plan on actually using it, it definitely seems like it will hold up to some work. The finish on one side of my handle is off & doesn't really match the other side & the blade & other metal parts seem to already show a little wear so it lost a star, might seem petty but I expected a little more from Boker. It came pretty sharp so I'm happy with that. Definitely a CLOSE remake of the classic switchblade so I'm happy to add it to my collection & will definitely be carrying it from time to time.
This is a very sturdy and heavy knife. It fits in your hand very nice and has a stout pocket clip. It is not a bad knife for $17. But, unfortunately it is an assisted open knife, with a thumb stud on the side and not an actual self-opening stiletto. The knife will also need a good sharpening, since it is on the dull end. But the blade seems to be made of a good quality steel. It will shave a little hair, but could be much sharper. On the plus side, I guess the knife is a good value for the money and is legal to carry, which is a plus. I is just not what a expected. Comes in a black collector's tin.
