Very Nice

I wound up buying three of these and must say they are very well made. The links are each very secure. Lol I wound up spending several minutes and a lot of effort to take the weights off of one of the chains and use it as my keychain now. So I can tell you that these are an excellent buy and very durable, will probably be able to last through almost anything :)

unwieldy,but affective

I wish they would put a handle on 1 end, but raelize that wauld compromise the throwing aspect of the weapon.Overall, good buy

Not a bad buy.

I recently bought this. Besides chipping paint,it held up on tests with first small boxes and then harder materials. Definitely worth the $10. Just be careful with it because swinging it wrong could mean you might hurt yourself. Not A TOY.

Awesome Defensive Weapon

I bought this piece a few weeks ago as a defensive weapon. I carry it in an open-top cell phone case with the center of the chain protruding. I used a 2" diameter heavy key ring to keep the chain from slipping back into the case, and to be able to snatch it out quickly. I have practiced using it on heavy cardboard boxes and trees. Let me tell you --- even someone with a gun is no match; the first snap disarms the bad guy, and the rebound stroke whaps the bastard up-side the head before he knows what hit him. Capable of caving-in even the densest criminal skull, these hexagon weights will obliterate anything they hit with very little effort. Good weapon for everyday carry.

nothing wrong with this at all. simple, harsh, and elegant. takes a lot of practice to use, and just as dangerous, if not more so to yourself than your target if you're not careful. annoying "made in thailand" sticker on one of the weights.

The Black Hornet Manriki Chain is nice!

Just received my Black Hornet Manriki Chain with my order. I have owned other manriki chains before, and this has heavier weights. It is easy to conceal and use for self defense. I've never used it as a throwing weapon though, as some would suggest. But, I can see where it would be an effectively used as a throwing weapon. I've always wielded one like Nunchukas(nunchucks), which is very effective against an attacker! Just like Brandon Lee used in the first fight scene of "Dragon, The Bruce Lee Story". Any way you use it will be formidable.

Black Manriki Chain

While my favorite of all the Manriki Gusari's I own, and by far the most comfortable to practice with, it can still do some damage to yourself, others and property if misused. My ONLY complaint on this item is that the chain links are not welded closed, therefore will come apart if used as an actual self defense device. Still, a fantastic piece of hardware for practice and easily concealable for the function it was intended.

this chain is very durable and has the added heft to put on some extra damage!

not as long as ull think but dangerous nonetheless. its smallness makes it amazing to hide it and disguise as a wallet chain or some other cool acceries thatll make u ready for an attacker.

but i head u to take precaution and train first, these are destructive to enemies but also to you if u get hurt.

practice safe

i set up a 1in pvc pipe up in my yard. it took me a few trys to hit it from 25 feet but it ripped it out of the ground and pined it to my metal fence which it wraped around a post and hung in the air!
p.s. dont hit yourself with it it kinda really hurts.

Black Manriki Chain

This is a wonderful "weapon" I practice in my backyard, i stabbed a bo staff into the ground and threw the chain at the bo it wraps around alot and with better practice i will get better at aim... its a must have!

Awesome chain. Made from strong steel... I was swinging it around in a figure 8 pattern and I accidently smacked it into a big rock... It cracked the rock in half!

This is a very nice chain. By putting one end in your back pocket and one in your front, it can be easily disguised as a wallet chain. The weights are solid and have a nice shape that allows the entirety of the weapon to fit in one hand. ESPECIALLY for $10, this is a good buy.
