B.M.F. Tri-Edged Heavy Spear

Overall a great product for the price. Nice weight, construction and durability for multiple uses. I put a rubber cane stopper on the end to take on walks with my dog. The shafts alone would be useful to fend off unwanted attention. I really want to try the spear out hunting. Have a friend in Texas that has a lot of land with a wild boar problem, I am going to take him up on his invitation to try out the spear. Thanks again BudK

No argument from me this is the best spear I've bought. Have others but they dont compare to the weight and durability.

The product is great. I just wanted to comment on how sharp this item is. I was sitting on tge floor. Unpacking my new spear. The piece with the tip slipped and fell right into my leg..point first. With no additional force or pressure left a descent hole...

This is an interesting product. It's heavy; but it also breaks down into smaller units depending what your usage is. Mine came well constructed. I cleaned some of the grease. What I've noticed is that a cane tip can be placed on the end touching the ground. The height is then somewhat suitable for walking (somewhat). That said, it all depends on your usage. While the blade is of less than desirable material, it should be remembered that it is designed for only one purpose; and I have no doubt it will manage that well.

Oh ya to the point is right, just what I was looking for, seems a little heavyer than I expected but still great. Agree with all the other comments.

Ohthis is so cool, I've wanted one for a long time now. it goes together very nicely, a little short than I thought it would be but still very cool. The lenght of the spear point is very intimadating Coo l cool cool can't wait to get out and see what it will do.

I was worried about how sturdy a spear with multiple joints would be, but once I got it together I found it holds up just fine!

I bought this spear awhile back and I'm glad I did, I like how easy it is to transport and the kind of damage it could possibly do and awhile ago I tested it's thrusting potential on a milk carton filled with water and it exceeded my expectations and the kind of wound it would potentially leave on an attacker would be extreme, to say the least.

just got my spear, and so far so good. seems durable and has a good weight to it (a bit heavy for long hikes with other gear though). the tip is for stabbing only, no slashing. squeaks a bit when threading the pieces together, so stealth is out unless put together ahead of time. for the cost... it is fair. not a steal, but not a rip off either. i am happy with it. thank you bud-k

This is a very solid and creative piece of weaponry. Make no mistake, this will get the job done!

Threading in handle is good. The tip is impressive. I haven't poked anything with yet but I'm sure it'll leave a hole.

This is a great survival item!! It a thrusting tool, baton, cane(Yes I limped around w it), sword&party items, & spear. !!I didn't see too many comments on how awesome the tight machined threads and stash or store hollows are, come on people!! This was even better than I expected. Heavy duty and the engineering on it was excellent. Will easily fit in your pack or under the seat of your car. A really nice weapon that doesn't need bullets.

It came well oiled to prevent rust. It has a very practical bag and each piece is set inside to fit. Great for transport. Will squeak when putting it together, so you would have to grease it or put it together two miles away your prey. I'm into ambush hunting. Keeps Me keen for when SHTF. This is a great tool for ambushing. Rather light too.

let's just say that my days of looking for a spear that has blood grooves and also violates the geneva conventions are over.

The box reads, in part " Not A Toy". You can confirm this by running the tip into your thumb, the way I did, or just take my word that the piercing point is very sharp. The blade edges are dull; this is a piercing/stabbing point, not a slashing/cutting point, so keep that in mind. I love the breakdown handle, as it allows you to carry the spear in a number of length configurations. It has good heft and balance, and I can't imaging anyone having a problem with this spear, assuming you're not trying to do something that the weapon was not indented for.

This is a top notch item as described below. When you open the case for the first time, the long bit contains the spear as well as the butt. Take off the butt, it screws onto the shaft segment with the shortest threads. The really cool thing about this is you can use it was a baton or a spear with a tremendously adjustable length shaft.

I purchased this spear during the latter weeks of winter, so when I tried throwing the spear for the first time and, I missed, it landed in the frozen ground, bending the tip completely over to at least a 50 degree angle. So that was disappointing, but perhaps I misunderstand the purpose of this spear. Overall, good for what it was intended to be used for, which is perhaps stabbing flesh, piercing fabric, or what have you; although it is NOT a spear for sticking into wood, penetrating metal of any kind, or twisting or pulling on when inside of any target. Push & Pull, soft objects only.

Not your average spear head, this is more of a spike. It breaks apart easy enough but it's super heavy. I mean some weight is good but I think in this case it throws off the balance. Not a bad spear by any means just wish it was lighter. It becomes cumbersome to hold after while.

This spear is brutal. It collapses and can be taken with you virtually anywhere. It's crazy sharp, and is a real weapon. I had to take a star off though because the tip bent slightly when I threw it into the ground. It was easy to file the bent part off and it's a deadly weapon once again. Thanks BudK.

Overall, the spear is good, would have given 5 stars if the spear was straight when assembled. Didn't even have to roll it on a flat surface to tell it was bowed

Bought 2 of them. First was a while ago and was great. Held together well didn't damage to easy. Second came and several thing wrong with it. 1. "Blade" was set off center. 2. One of the female threading wasn't completed so it will only allow me to screw in half way. Bought the second mostly to make a longer spear. And it does so I am happy with that. 3 stars mostly because of the condition of the second spear upon arrival.

Whatever 2CR13 steel is, it's super soft. The blade was warped out of the package and when I went to tap it on the carpet to see if it would straighten out, the tip bent back the other way an inch. The tube is solid and locks up. Decent wall hanger but they would be better off just using an old SKS bayonet or something actually functional. Don't use this for anything or you'll destroy it.

Unless you have a welder to put it back together! Really a neat item, lots of fun. The only problem was the construction is not meant for actual use. So just weld it together and you can then throw it or stab targets no problem.
