Really took my blades to sharp city like they deserve. Grinds hard and really brings out the best in your blade. Sharpeners can be flipped and switched witch is amazing, litle bigger than how actually shown but i love this and its the best sharpener for the money and the best that i own.

AMAZING, MUST HAVE! I'm an avid sword collector and restaurant owner. I took it to work to use as well as at home. Note however the sharpener actually works by shaving the edge of the blade thus making it sharp. So 5 strokes to 8 should be sufficient for any knife/sword. Any more strokes you'll just be grinding your sword/knife away.

Excellent sharpener! Part of my first purchase from true swords, and I have to say, I wasn't disappointed. I puts an edge on new knives and old knives very quickly. The only complaint that I have is relatively minor, and it's that this sharpener seems to have trouble sharpening longer, wider blades, like machetes. Other than that though, this sharpener is great!! A must buy for any customer, either new to knives or long time collectors.

Bought this realy not expecting too much from it as I have used sharpeners of the same design before. This one works. The only thing I did was use a little oil on it and the blade, and then finished it off with a sharpening steel. Works great on serrated knives, straight knives, pocket knives.....Thank again TRUE SWORDS........

Another amazing product from TrueSwords much less in price than anywhere else. I have never seen a sharpener work this well, and it beats the hell out of standing there with a whetstone for an hour sharpening all your knives. This will go great with my Traditional Fighting Katars I got in the same order. I plan on doing more business here, much more.

at first i was a bit sceptical considering i bought other sharpeners like this that didn't work. but this one does. it turned my 2 swords flat edges into pointy demon's. i cut myself 3 times on my right pointer finger cheating the sharpness, the look like paper cuts. im gonna warn u that the first time u sharpen with this the blade will have to adjust to the shape so i takes a couple hours or so, super great for the price

This Knife/tool sharpener is amazing. I just got it for Christmas today and it works fantastic! I bought a few knifes for Budk.com and they came dull, all I did was swipe this a few times and bamm! Insta sharp.

This is about the best, easiest, most convenient way to a RAZOR sharp knife blade. I use it on everything from very expensive kitchen cutlery to monster rough-use bowie knives (and everything in between). Seriously, unless you're VERY good with a stone and have the patience to do it right, this is what you want. Don't try to use it on scissors or other stuff -- get the model that's made for those types of blades. The carbides are reversible, but you may want a replacement set as they wear out about once a year with very heavy use.

This thing has lasted me for more than year despite many sharpenings of many bladed objects -and I haven't even reversed the two little stones yet! With consistent pressure and angling, it will definitely give you a nice bevel. You can even use it on swords, provided you either are (a) willing to tolerate a secondary bevel on your sword or (b) are willing to polish and smooth the bevel to a convex geometry after sharpening with some fine wet/dry paper.<br /><br />For anything short of a high-quality custom or antique (or an otherwise ordinary blade with very specific geometry requirements), this should be your go-to sharpening device.

Really, I can't say anything that hasn't been said before. This thing rocks and got my pocket knife paper cutting sharp before I was even finished sharpening it. For $13, you should really have no excuse not to buy one. Fully recommended.

This thing is amazing, probably one of the most helpful things I've ever bought from Trueswords. It really does make a perfect edge from your blades with minimal effort or experiences. I was able to sharpen most of my knives and a few of my swords. The only thing that is difficult with it is that it is very hard to make a unsharpened blade sharp with it, I have yet to succeed with it. All in all, its great for sharpening knives and resharpening swords that have dulled.

this sharpener is amazing! i love it! it feels comfortable, works perfectly fine and is bad for its price, just do what they say and dont press down on it or else youll just mess up the sharpener. I use this knife sharpener at work all the time, I even refuse to use some of our more expensive knife sharpeners because this one is quick and easy and does a great job of restoring an edge, even on cheap surgical steel blades! This product is great for people who are unused to sharpening blades or even for expert sharpeners that just need to quickly restore an edge. The construction feels a little flimsy, but I have never seen this sharpener fall apart. Plus, it's one of the few sharpeners I've encountered that can go over a serrated blade without becoming damaged. I highly recommend this sharpener for any blade aficionado, cook, or anyone who just needs to sharpen their favorite pocket knife.

Very good sharpener, just got it today, my entire collection is now razor sharp. I have anodized black steel all under my fingernails. The only possible downside is that one of my shortswords had a few larger dings (turning a tree into firewood will do that), and instead of flattening them out they are now serrations. Not nessecarily bad though, and it means it will treat serrated blades well. Obviously not designed for "convex" edges like a katana, but should sharpen any western blade with ease.<br /><br />A good sharpener, worth every penny already.

perfect little sharpener it does exactly what is advertised with even less effort than described. after a few swipes, it made a completley dull knife so sharp i almost sliced my finger off with it. an essential for anyone who owns/uses knives frequelntly. I dont even understand HOW you could injure yourself with this. not really sure how it works on swords since i havent tried yet but i dont see any reason why it wouldnt.

this sharpener works wonders, i will go into more detail then "SHAAAAARP". ok as for knives this product gets a 5/5 with out a doubt it is very easy to use although trying to sharpen a curved knife is a bit of a challenge but it still works, with knives this thing works so well its hard to put into words, as far as swords go, the only one i sharpend was a 15$ 440 stainless steel sword from this website, it did work reletively well but it didint seem to get the sword as sharp as the knives, but all in all a great product, (sorry i do not have a high carbon sword to sharpen and reveiw)

Great little tool to have for anyone who has edged weapons about the house. Very light little sharpener, takes quite a few stokes to make anything sharp, but very much worth the effort. Sharpened all 3 of my smaller throwing knives, as well as my dagger to pretty scary edges. I recommend this for any knives you have that need a keen edge, although I have not tested it against any swords.

I recieved this sharpener a few days ago and i will be honest, i was a little put off at how different it looked in terms of size from the picture, but then i got to sharpening and i have a knife that i can litterally put as much pressure as i want on it and it wont even tear a piece of paper. So i used the Accusharp Knife Sharpener and within 15 strokes of the blade i had its cutting through the paper like it was a piece of cake. As a previous review said, I wouldn't use it on larger bladed weapons such as swords or arm and hand claws, but using it to sharpen a hunting knife or even a bowie is incredibly quick and easy. The only draw back that i had, but wasn't really bothered by was the fact that you must be extremely careful with the sharpener when sharpening your knives. remember that the hand guard is there for a reason. I would suggest wrapping a cloth or wearing a glove when sharpening if you are using a sharpener for the first or even the tenth time. It is meant to make the blades sharper thus increasing the risk of you getting hurt. Other than that warning i have been thouroughly impressed by this sharpener.

its a really fine stone so its 4 reshaping things if u hav a dull sword u want to make sharp its wont help much however a dull hunting knife or something this is great

This thing is great, I just saved half of my aunts cutlery from the trash in under 5 min. Note to others, be wary of the shavings, as these are about as sharp as the knife itself and can be dangerous, wipe down with a damp towel or rag, and dry immediately. I took a chipped knife and made it nice and smooth in less than 10 passes, great device. BTW, it is not electrical, no batteries, safe to get wet, and sturdy to boot.

Quite possibly the best edge I've ever gotten from a handheld unit. Right out of the package, I drew it across the leading edge of an older spring-assist that had been abused and neglected. Within four strokes, I was removing large swaths of hair from my sleeping roommate's arms with a single pass. I can get better edges from benchtop sharpeners, but I have never seen a handheld work quite this well. I'm buying two more today for stocking stuffers.

I've got in excess of 20 blades. I obviously didn't try to use this on my machete or KA-BAR, but the other blades are nearly as sharp as razors. Great buy!!

This knife sharpener is awsome. It makes every thing razor sharp. It doesn't just sharpen knives, but it also sharpens swords, axes and pretty much anything with a blade. I cut myself when I was sharpening my knife and it went in deep and I only did 5 swipes on the thing. Very good buy and I'll be buying alot more in the future. 5/5

Performed exactly as expected, this will stay in my arsenal for a long time. I have some nice knives and a sword that will all stay nice and dangerous because of this thing. Used this on the "Battle Ready Full Tang Ninja Tech Sword" from TS, and it's razor sharp now. No complaints.

Just got this in along with my other purchase "The pig sticker" and for the price you pay it is a STEAL. Puts a great edge on you blade and is almost to easy to use, if any one out there is still using a whetstone save your self the time and trouble and get one of the these.

I like it it is very easy to use and the results are excellent. I got a Tanto recently and i like it. It wasn't sharp so i used my Accusharp to make it usable. After sharpening the blade it didn't get any scratches. 5/5

This sharpener is the best one I have bought. I like it very much. It sharpens dull knives very well. Doesn't seem to sharpen swords very well (if they are already pretty sharp) but then again, it is a "knife" sharpener and not a "sword" sharpener. Totally worth the $13.

This is a pretty good sharpener. It worked pretty well on one of my knives, but not my katana.

No knife/sword/cutlery owner should be without this little guy. The accusharp blows my mind. I purchased the Alabama Slammer from trueswords, pulled it out of the package and decided to give it a razor edge. That only took about 8 seconds. This thing is so easy to use. Immediately after I was finished I asked my mom to toss me a butcher knife from our kitchen drawer, this knife has got to be at least 20 years old, it was so dull I couldn't even cut with it, it was literally a blunt object. 15 or 20 seconds with the accusharp and I was scared the knife was going to cut my own hand off. This is the best sharpener on the market, I recommend ordering it a long with any knife/sword you may order from true swords.

OMFG! this thing is so awesome that i went on a knife sharpening rampage when i got it. i got all of my knives from the kitchen and sharpened them, i even went to my freinds house and he was plaing video games while i was sharpening all of his knives =D.

Much easier than using a wet stone. It even sharpened my stainless steel swords well enough so that they could handle a water bottle cutting.

this sharpner is so sick. it took only like a couple seconds for me to get my dull blades to razor sharp edges.

I love it! I got it about an hour ago and it's already turned two of my dullest blades into deadly weapons! If your blade is as dull as mine was it takes a lot of work to sharpen with this, but it's worth it! This is by far the best sharpener I have ever had and it shipped extremely fast! Accusharp, when you need something sharpened, because using whetstones are impossible, no matter what anyone says. This, however, is ace.

once i figured out how to work this thing i got my knives so sharp that if i run my finger across the blade with slight pressure i get deep cuts.....you have to put alot of pressure for the first 10-15strokes then meddium pressure for 15-25 strokes then 10-20 light strokes for that razor edge....think of it like ...cut down the tree...widdle the wood....then finally sand. paper it down. great buy if you use your knives often.

I can't say anything about this sharpener but WOW, it makes even the dullest blades razor sharp... I wonder if it will work on my old dull razors! Hahaha

Great sharpener! I've used this thing to sharpen all of the weapons I have and it makes them razor sharp. I would recommend this over any whetstone because its a lot easier to use and it does a really good job.

This is an awesome sharpener. I love how it uses high carbon blades instead of whetstones. This means that they don't need oiling, just a short cleaning, and they last much, much longer. It's so effective because of the fork shape. I used it to sharpen my cold stone double-edged machete, throwing knives, and friend's pocket knife, and the blades hardly have a scratch on them. <br />One note, though, this isn't made for scissors or pocket knives that have an edge that leans to one side. Although you could use this sharpener to make that pocket knife into a straight edge. <br />This is way better than a whetstone. Accusharp's registered phrase is "Move out of the Stone Age." You'll be very pleased with yourself when you get this.

Does a good job on my sword and machetes makes dem razor sharp but does not want to work om my m48 tomahawk thats wat im dissapointed about.

It feels a bit cheap, but it's easy to use and gets the job done.

Works ok for my knives and machete. But not swords just sharped it but doesn't give it a good edge.

It is pretty good. Works for the most part but doesnt work as well on some metals. Made a slim piece of sheet metal like a razor blade.

It is a good buy because you only have to do simple things to sharpen your weapons. You do not have to worry about breaking your tools and weapons when you first start.<br /><br />Sadly, it takes a really long time to sharpen your weapons due to different problems. The first is that the blue safe guard is there. I understand it protects your fingers but it is really hard to do the 90 degree when the blade is being pushed by the guard. Another is where it takes awhile to turn something that was not made to be sharped, sharpen.<br /><br />Don't get me wrong here, I believe this is a good cheap buy if you do not want to get a whetstone set. I am just telling you want to expect so you do not freak out.

This product is effect at what it does. But it doesnt handle a thicker blade well. My machete and thicker blades were actually getting duller than becoming sharper. So my recommendation for this is to use it for small knives, and small axes.

This thing is quite handy. if you do it right and put in some time, you can get your knives sharp enough to shave with. i would give this 5 stars except that the bad thing about it is that its made out of plastic and acts like it will break if i push down to hard. <br /> Otherwise, i definitely would recommend getting this if you are getting some knives or already have some, this does work WELL if you use it right.

doesn't work on my Hitsugaya Sword - Inspired by Anime - Hyourinmaru Zanpakuto but it works any any other knife i have but over all, worth evey penny

Is a great product. Is NOT overrated. HOWEVER.. it does take some effort in sharpening certain items. And does NOT seem to be made for "THICKER" blades. Will work great on any serrated and plain cutlery, knives, etc. However thicker blades (like a Katana) will most likely NOT work and in my experience so far...could make that blade worse (in the sense of dulling it).

Works like a dream. All of my knives are razor sharp now, and i have a few lovely nicks on my hands and fingers :3 It doesn't work so well on smaller serrated blades but for any straight blade, this thing is a must have.

I don't have too much experience with knife sharpeners so I don't know how this one compares with others on the market, but I thought it was good. It sharpened my dull knives and it's really nice for the price.
