5-Pack P38 GI Style Can Openers - Survival SHTF

Can't beat having these around. Good for around the house, camping, bug-out gear or what have you. They are larger than the military issue P-38, but the same in every other detail. Can't beat the price.

Should be one of the first items in your bug-out bag. If you don't already have some, then do it Now ! Works just like the Army ones I have had over the years, and fits a key chain or dog tag chain. You got to eat, and you are gonna need a can opener. They give you 5 each. You can only use one at a time, so they prob figure you are going to loose 4 of them, so Buy a bunch at these prices and stuff them in the survival bags. 5-Star item.

Strong, usable and like military issue. Been carrying one since Korea, on my key ring. And use it often. Can't beat price and quality at twice the price!!!

always wanted one of these .. so when i saw them it the catalog i had to have one..so i ordered 2 pkgs...ever been on a trip or camping or on a float trip and some one forgot the can opener.. well here they are.. put on key ring and goes everywhere you go...they make great stocking stuffers too

Why pay more to open a stinkin' csn? I keep one on my neck knife all the time, in fact, I have them everywhere. You don't have to think real hard or real long to see how this innocuous little device could serve as a nasty self-defense tool. Just sayin'.

I ordered these for my mother because she does not like the regular can openers. She said they aren't as strong as the original p38 but she's happy.

Buy a five pack of P38 becuse you will be able to give four away to people with cans of beans, but no way to open them. Huricane season or other survival situation, you will be the hero.

this is a handy item to have with you at all times . small and efficient. use it daily

I used to be able to open a can with one of the P38's, faster than using a mechanically driven can opener.

I'm almost 63 years old and I have one on every key chain in the house. If they were 24 Karat Gold, I'd have gotten my moneys worth many times over. I still buy them and give them away as gifts.

If you do not have at least one, you should have one stashed somewhere since it can be used to open just about any can made and you can ask any vet. from any war since WWII thru I believe the newest battles in the Mid-East. Regardless of who uses the can opener, it has a use as a screw driver too. As I said, the can opener has many uses and can be stored in a wallet or a purse so there is no reason not to have one. I am ordering 5 packages to divide up to give to family and friends so they won't be without.

easy to use, fits yer key-chain, works great, super light weight, cheap as dirt compared to other can openers, you get 5 in a pack so you can keep one everywhere, gave my mom one when her power was out she liked it so well that she gave away her electric can opener, excellent usefulness for the cost

had one of these for years works way better than those pliers with a twist knob type can openers i can open cans with this faster than my mom can with her electric can opener

Great buy! This is a quality tool for opening C rats (old timers MREs)& aluminum cans . Very sharp! Can be used as a knife, screwdriver & self defense. Please wrap with rubber band or tape if worn with dog tags!

lol.....yes, they WORK, and they work GREAT....but they are slow and can be a little annoying to use, but they are better than trying to use a Knife to open. Because they are small you will lose them so several coming together is a Bonus.

Is grate foe the servilest. Cuts cans open like buter wonce u get used to uaing them. Fits grate on a key chane.

I served in the army back in the early 80's before they switched from c rations to mre's. It was vital to have a p38 can opener,these openers are not the original p38's.They are not as strong and durable as the military issued openers.These openers how ever or useable and brings back memories of a simpler time.

Not much to say. Works, well, and very small handy way to take care of your canned goods.

this product works well as its designed to. however the quality of the metal is subpar its good they come in a pack of 6. after some extended use these will bend and warp sometimes to the point of being unuseable. for the price tag and overall not bad tho buying a crank canopener would be more efficient.

I found these very hard to use, when we tried the to use them the tips bent. They didn't make any dents in the can. There are a few sturdier openers on this site I would choose over these again.
