Never worry about power outages again! This 4-in-1 Dynamo Radio-Flashlight-Siren-charger offers a hand-crank for charging. One minute of cranking will power the AM/FM radio for 8 minutes or 3-LED flashlight for 30 minutes. The flashlight offers 2 brightness settings for battery saving and the high-visibility yellow and black outer case is always easy to find even in low lighting. An extendable antennae ensures a stronger radio signal. It also offers an emergency shrill siren that is extremely loud and a cell phone charging port that uses an included USB cable. Good quality, holds a charge freakishly well. The charger works for my phone type (LG Lucid), the downside is it would take days to charge my phone. The phone normally takes over two hours to charge so trickle charging takes forever. The radio gets good signal and the alarm will make you jump.
I mostly got this for the phone charger but apparently it dont work as expected. Instead of using the battery from the flashlight you have to crank to charge the phone and it seems to have almost no effect on the phone battery. cranked for 5 minutes and not even 1 percent increase on the battery. If you want any use out of the phone "charger" you or someone else will have to crank throughout the whole phone call.
In my opinion this one of the essential tools that anyone should have with them, if you're out there on you own or otherwise, this will boost your morale, and it might even save your life!
Nice little survival tool, everything works except for the USB Cable charger, welll it kinda works. My phone says it's an unsupported hook up. It only charges my phone if I crank the handle around and around and around and around, but once I stop it stops charging. Mainly bought it for the phone charging device. If anyone knows how to make this work or maybe if my defective, let me know
I don't know about other people's radios, but mine charges anything that uses a USB cable, from my cell phone to my iPod. I'm glad to add this to my "Bug Out Bag".
Worked so well I bought a second one for our emergency bag.
Flashlight is pretty good with a single to triple bulb positions, lit up the room fine. Radio is a fine addition and worked ideally should emergency broadcasts be given both am/fm worked. Alarm as well I guess if I were to be in need of it. USB did not function, maybe damaged in transit but it didn't function as well as I would have hoped it would especially since I have a lot of PDF files on my smart phone I would rather carry in an emergency situation as opposed to a library of how to's and DIY manuals. Overall not bad for the price. Now about that portable solar panel charger.......
everything works great except the cell phone charging function, you must constantly crank to charge otherwise it will stop charging the phone. p.s i have a blackberry bold 9930
it works as it says...haven't try to charge phone yet...but seems to work only with droid kind and alike haha doesn't work for ipear (not making propaganda without getting paid so not saying name).I'm pleased with it.
Flashlight, radio, alarm all work great. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to charge an Iphone4. I can kind of understand, they're more powerful than older cell phones.
