It came fairly sharp in the box and feels substantial in your hands. I am 6' tall and the tip bangs into my knee when sheathed. I had to burn a hole to make a leg tie. The sheath is thick durable nylon. After some heavy shopping it put a blister on the side of my index finger so some gloves would also be recommended.Would you recommend this to a friend? Yes
